http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBzPioph8CI This is Monsters University Final Trailer. This video was uploaded or made by Disney Pixar. It is 2:31 minutes long.
It starts out with a green screen that has some information and rating (about 5 seconds). Then it shows the Disney pictures logo then the Pixar animation studios logo. At 8 seconds it shows the first scene from the movie. At 10 seconds it says "Every Dream," at 16 seconds it says "Begins Somewhere," at 28 seconds it says "From Disney Pixar," at 43 seconds it says "Some Are Born To Greatness," at 49 seconds it says "And Some...," at 58 seconds it says "Find Greatness on Their Own," at 1:35 minutes it says "This Summer," at 1:39 minutes it says "They'll Become The Team," at 1:46 minutes it says "That Opened Doors Everywhere," at 2:28 minutes is says "Monsters University Disney Pixar" and shows the date and website. All of the tilting has the same font, size, and background. It shows continuity.
In the beginning of the trailer they have some slow scenes and the music is inspiring. At 17 seconds they show titling that slowly fades into the next scene. The titling starts out on a black background then fades onto a scene. I really like how they did that part. At 28 seconds another titling shows up and the music changes into a faster and more up-beat tempo. Some of the scenes get faster. They show more action scenes after the music changes. At 49 seconds the music changes again into a slower tempo and more sad music. They show some slow and sad scenes during that part. The music slowly gets a little faster and they show happy, sad, action, and non action scenes. At 1:35 minutes they show tilting and the music changes again into a faster beat and happier music. At 2:00 minutes they play an actual song. Even though the music changed tempos and beats a few times throughout the trailer it was still the same original sound. I liked the changes in music. They matched the music with the different scenes very well. I felt inspired, sad, happy, and excited watching this trailer.
The transitions they used in this trailer were going to the next scene, fade out, slow black fade, and quick black flash. This movie trailer is well put together. The timing of the scenes varied, but they all fit together well. This trailer had a lot of tilting and I think it worked because the tilting was spaced out. They had dialogue and music in this trailer, but not a narrator. I don't think there is any reason to have a narrator. The dialogue of the characters and the music say a lot.
