The beginning of the trailer shows the green screen and then it shows three small logos of TriStar, Film District, and Ghost House Pictures. The beginning of the trailer starts out slow with creepy music in the background. At 23 seconds it says" From the produces of the horror classic," at 31 seconds it says "Comes a new vision," at 40 seconds it says "Once you unleash evil," at 46 seconds it says "It will consume you," at 1:00 minute it says "This April," at 1:09 minutes it says "Fear," at 1:15 minutes it says "What," at 1:19 minutes it says "You will become," and at 1:44 minutes it says "Evil Dead." Then it shows a few more scenes then it cuts to a black screen then it cuts back into a action scene. The release date shows up at 1:59 minutes and lasts for about 3 seconds.
The scene that is really creepy is at 56 seconds where the girl is possessed and she is covered in black slime in the woods. There are a lot of scary scenes throughout this trailer.
The transitions they used in this trailer are a slow black flash, a long black pause, going straight to the next scene, and a very quick horizontal black flash. The show some dialogue. There is some background music, but it doesn't play the entire time. The music fits with the various scenes well. I really like how they did the tilting. Each word popped up on it's own and there was sound that followed the words popping up. The words are in white against a black background with a sans-serif font. The font isn't creepy, but how the words pop up on the screen is. The scenes are a little slow in the beginning and then they get faster and show a lot of action scenes. I like that the show another scene after the title of the movie. I don't like movie trailers that just end. I think this is a good movie trailer. It made me want to go see the movie. If I movie trailer gives me goose bumps and makes me scared then I think it did it's job.
This movie trailer creeps me out and I have Goosebumps just watching it. I love that I have Goosebumps watching it because that means that it did it's job. The scary and freakier the movie trailer the more I want to see it. I love horror movies and if I am going to see a horror movie I want to be scared.
