On Top of the World- Imagine Dragons

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5tWYmIOWGk On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons. This video is 4:04 minutes long.

It starts out with a young boy riding his tricycle to a group of people watching T.V. outside. They are looking in the glass were the T.V. is and the people are outside. The young boy has a aluminum foil cap on.

The people are dressed from the 60's and 70's. The T.V. looks old (from that time period). They show each of the band members leaving their love ones and driving away. The four band members walk into this big white building. Then it shows them getting dressed in astronaut suits. The T.V. shows the rocket launching and the astronaut walking into the rocket. At 2:02 the music stops and you can hear and see the T.V. have technically difficulties. At 2:09 it cuts to the astronaut landing on the moon and then a giant microphone lands on his hand. The music resumes at 2:14 minutes and it shows someone holding a clapperboard over the astronaut. Then the camera zooms out and shows the studio where they are filming the moon landing. Right then, the audience knows that its fake, but the people in the music video don't know. They think it's real. The T.V. shows 2 people landing on the moon with the American flag. They show everybody happy that the Americans were the first to land on the moon. There is one guy that doesn't look happy and looks like he did something wrong.

I wasn't expected the music video to be this when I first listen to the song. It makes sense the more I think about it. The song is called "On top of the World" and the video is about being on top of the moon, so you can see the top of the world. I like how they didn't show the people landing on the moon was filmed in a studio until later in the video. Until they showed the microphone landing on the astronaut I thought it was real. I'm sure it will make some people think... did we land on the moon or was it all a scam? The music video showed that in a funny way. I like how towards the end the band members in the astronaut suits were playing golf, driving a car, playing instruments, and acting silly. The costumes help make this video look like it is from a few decades ago. The video quality is good and none of the shots are blurry. I really like how they showed a old TV with their film on it. It was in sepia and it looked like it could have been a TV from back in the 60's or 70's. I absolutely love this song. I am doing a music video for my next project and I chose "On Top of the World" by Imagine Dragons.
