A Short Story (a fairytale)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIoTR2AQSBk "A Short Story" (a fairytale). "Fanshawe College project. We had two weeks to do this, we wound up writing, shooting, editing, and scoring in 3 days." This video is 3:35 minutes long.

It starts out with the title scenes. The is three different tilting scenes and combined they last 20 seconds. The music fades into the next scene. Then you see a close-up of a girls face looking down. The girl is telling a story to another person. I'm not sure where she is at, but I imagine that it is inside a house. The next scene is the same girl, but now she is walking through the woods with a renaissance looking outfit. They show a close-up of her face then the camera is pointing towards her back while she is walking towards something. It looks like a cold, slight windy, sunny day. There is music playing in the background. Then the camera shows her slowly turning around to look at a noise she heard. She continues walking. Then they show a little yellow speck flying around in the woods. She catches the little yellow speck floating around in her hands. The show a point of view shot of hands. She lets the little yellow speck go and the camera angle shows her looking up in the sky watching the yellow speck fly away. Then you hear a scary groaning sound. She probably added the sound in while editing the video. She turns around and sees a grim reaper looking creature. We can see the creature, but it is blurry. Then the grim reaper becomes in focus and the girl becomes blurry. She stares at the creature for awhile then they show a close-up of her arm and the creature in the background. They show the creature attacking her. It looks like the creature is running towards her and then she falls down (I doubt that the creature actually attacking her). Then they show someone lying on the ground with the little yellow speck flying around the body. During this time there is a voice over. They show the woods scenes and the main character is telling the story over the scenes. Then it cuts back to the girl telling the story to someone inside the house. She then looks up and it shows a guy siting across from her. The guy asks her a question then it shows a zoomed-out angle of the girl looking into the distance. The stops while the two people are talking the starts up again when they show the wood scenes again. It cuts back to the woods and it shows a close-up angle of the girl getting attacked by the creature on the ground. The girl stabs the creature (which is a human dressed up because you can see the hands) a few times then it shows a different scene. It shows a close-up of a woman's hand stabbing someone, but they are dressed up in normal clothes. Then it cuts back to the woods. The creature is laying on the ground and she pulls out the knife she used to kill him. It cuts to the girl sitting in the dark inside the house with sirens and lights on her face. Then it cuts back to the woods and then cuts back to a close-up of the girls face inside the dark house again. That's the end and it fades to black. Titling shows up for the last 40 seconds.

This was a pretty good story, but I got lost at the end. Towards the end was confusing and I didn't fully understand it. I liked the different camera angles. The music fit well with the story. Most of the scenes were dark, but I think it was supposed to be that way. The biggest problem I had with this video was the typography and tilting. The tilting was bad in my opinion. All of the tilting was the same. The font choice looked like a script font, which was hard to read. It was yellow text on a black background. The size was so small that I could barely read it.  The words would flicker then slowly fade to black. The flicker was very annoying. I think the tilting was up for too long, it was too drawn out. I think the last scene should have slowly faded to black instead of just cutting to a black screen. I think some of the scenes need transitions.
