http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw-N2nX9z7I This is Good Morning America Interview with Kay Perry. This interview is 14:58 minutes long. I am doing a self-interview with myself about my job at the horse barn. I am having trouble starting and ending my interview. I think I am going to pretend I am doing my self-interview for a morning talk show. So I am researching morning talk show interviews. Good Morning America made this video (or people working for them).
This interview starts out with Kay Perry walking into the studio greeting all of her fans. She hugs a guy and then walks to the desk. They people in the studio don't even give her a chair. She has to stand and pretend there is a chair there, which I think is rude. How do you invite a celebrity into a studio to interviewer her and not give her a chair? One of the woman interviewer says, "Live in our studio for the first time Kay Perry." They talk about her new album Prism and her music video "Roar." All of the people in the studio are dressed up. I would call that business casual. There are 5 interviewers and one interviewee, which is Katy Perry. They show different camera angles. They show the whole inside of the studio with all 6 people, they show a close-up of Katy Perry from the waist up, and a close up of the other interviewers. They also show a lot of B-roll. They show outside of the studio and some parts of her music videos. They camera goes back her forth from Katy Perry, to the other interviewers, and the whole inside of the studio. At 3:00 minutes someone says, "We are going to get some news from Josh," then it cut to a different scene. They probably showed a commercial during that break. The next scene is completely different from the first one. Everybody moved to a different room and Katy Perry finally has a chair! They continue talking about her new song. The interviewers asks her questions and Katy Perry responds. Around 11 minutes everybody moves outside the studio. Everybody is now standing and talking. They show close-ups of the people and far away shots. Katy Perry is the only one without a microphone. Most of the people are standing straight up. Kay Perry uses her hands sometimes while she is talking. She moves around a little bit too. The interview ends or the video ends when one of the guys says, "Let's get to the boards (he is talking about the weather).
One of the woman interviewer says at the end, "Nice to meet you I have been looking forward to it."
This interview started out by the interviewers saying "Live in our studio." I didn't hear them say the name of the studio, but I didn't watch every minute of this video either. The interview kind of just ended. They didn't really say thank you or goodbye. They where in a typical morning talk show studio. I think it's rude to not give a chair to Katy Perry or whoever their guest may be when everyone else is sitting down. I like the different camera angles. The camera was steady inside the studio, but when the people went outside to talk the camera was a little shaky. They showed a good bit of B-roll, which is good especially for a morning talk show. People don't want to watch the interviewers and interviewee talk the entire time. In the beginning of the interview they had her song "Roar" playing low in the background while the people were talking. They even showed some reactions. I think this is a good video of the live interview.
